This week’s Absolutely Alabama takes us to DeKalb county and a visit to Little River Canyon National Park and the Little River Canyon Center which is the new facility operated by Jacksonville State University.

In addition to the spectacular new center the Alabama Folklife Association currently has a new exhibit there called “Alabama In The Making” which highlights many folkways, food ways, stories and music from Alabama’s different regions including the Tennessee Valley, Southern Appalachians, Black Belt, Wiregrass and Gulf Coast.

Absolutely Alabama will air Friday, Sept. 22 during our 6 p.m. newscast.
